Jordan Simplifies Taste of the Blog: Pumpkin Spice Shaken Latte + Non-Toxic Milk Steamer Swap
We are also taking pumpkin spice lattes, HELLO! I think I have finally perfected my pumpkin spice paste, and am ready to share. Speaking on lattes, I’m excited to talk about my milk steamer that I recently swapped out for my plastic milk frother that I have had to replace twice.

Pumpkin Spice Paste Ingredients:
1/2 can pumpkin puree
2 tbsp pumpkin spice seasoning
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup water
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the pumpkin puree and pumpkin spice seasoning. Cook for 5-8 minutes stirring constantly to prevent burning. Add the water and continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Finally add the maple syrup and stir to combine, cook for another 2-3 minutes. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 7-10 days.
Pumpkin Spice Shaken Latte Ingredients:
2 shots espresso
1/4 cup milk
1 tbsp pumpkin spice paste
1 tsp brown coconut sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste
Dash Ceylon cinnamon
1/2 tsp ashwagandha powder(optional)
In a mason jar, combine fresh espresso, pumpkin spice paste, brown coconut sugar, vanilla bean paste, and ashwagandha powder if using. Secure the mason jar lid and give it a good shake for about 20-30 seconds. It will begin to froth once ready. Pour espresso pumpkin mixture into a mug.
Steam the milk with your preferred steamer or frother, or warm the milk on the stovetop. If using the stovetop, add the milk to a pan and heat over medium heat until warmed. 5-8 minutes.
Pour the steamed milk over the espresso pumpkin mixture and sprinkle with Ceylon cinnamon. Enjoy the lovely latte and instantly be in the fall spirit. Bonus option: look out your window to some beautiful fallen leaves with your first sip.

Non-Toxic Milk Steamer Swap
I recently needed to replace my milk frother. This was the second time I needed to replace it within 6 months and this was frustrating. I was wanting something with non-toxic materials and finding a lot of options wasn’t easy. When researching I found one option that seemed very interesting to me. Itis stainless steel, non-toxic, and camper-friendly. My husband and I love camping and being in the outdoors. Don’t get me wrong, I do love a cup of black coffee gazing out into the beautiful landscape. But I also love a frothy delicious warm soothing latte while gazing out into the beautiful landscape.
So when I realized this could be an option for me, while also covering the basis of non-toxic materials and not having to continuously replace lower quality toxic alternatives which in turn ends up being more expensive, I was eager to give this option a try.
Welcome to my home, Bellman’s stovetop steamer, and boy has it been a perfect match. Not only is this product checking all the boxes for healthy materials, portability, and sheekness; it also makes the most frothy, airy, and silky steamed milk I’ve ever experienced from an at-home latte. I love her, she is always welcome in my home.
